Bonfire turnout

Thanks to everyone who came to the bonfire and contributed, it was a great success this year! These events are always a great success when everyone comes. Please make sure you come to our next bonfire at the end of the summer to celebrate our 1 year anniversary as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Unlimited will be fully catered by the always delicious Homestyle Hawaiian Island Style Food.

Bonfire this Saturday


Just a reminder that we will be having a bonfire party at La Jolla Shores this Saturday 7/10 starting from 10am to sunset. Andrew will be getting there early to reserve the spot so please feel free to come anytime. We will be surfing and bodyboarding with the kids comt out and join us for a great time!

If people can come and provide any food, drinks or beach equipment (chairs, tables etc...) we would really appreciate it. Please email us anything that you might bring and we will add it to the list.

Awesome seminar with a great turnout!











Adriano Silva is an absolute wizard on the ground and taught his special guard that he uses in competition and some great half guard techniques from the bottom and top. As he said it's always great to learn different techniques from seminars so attend as many as you can. Pictures will be up soon on the site, so check back!

Summer time is here


Hi BJJ Unlimited Family,

With the summer months ahead, the kids are out of school and may be stuck at home, so from July 1st to September 1st we will moving the 4-5pm class to 9-10am. We hope this gets the kids up and ready to start the day with some healthy exercise instead of sitting at home all day. See you on the mats!

BJJ Seminar with Adriano Silva!

We are pleased to announce our first seminar with the very talented Adriano Silva. This is a great opportunity to train with one of the best and learn the most cutting edge techniques from Brazil!! The seminar will be Saturday June 12 from 11am - 2pm and will only be $40!! Most seminars are $80 - $150, but we have worked out a special price for our school so don't miss out on this great opportunity. Congratulations to our Grappling X Tournament Winners!


Congratulations to David Acosta for taking 1st place and for Paul Woo taking 2nd place at the Grapplers X tournament in Long Beach this past weekend!

We had a strong showing in the school as David and Paul represented BJJ Unlimited in the finals of the 162lb weight division. We're very proud of them and wish them luck at The World Championships!

Also, congratulations to James Wright for delivering his son John Wright this past week. We hope to have him training at the school as soon as he's old enough!
